Susan Elcox
Drawn by the feel and texture, rug hooking has become a way of expressing what I see in the world around me. Since much can be made of a simple strand of wool cut out of a piece of wool material, I desire to impress upon people how it too can be just as beautiful as a piece of work created by a brush and paint.
Expression can be made in the form of pictures, wall hangings, chair seats, pillows. And they can illustrate landscapes, modern or historical designs or shapes, flowers, oriental motifs, etc.
I desire to reach out through my own creations to collectors as well as through helping my students also express their inner creativities.
